TrayBuddy is designed to be used without creating an account — no login is required. All your treatment data stays on your device. We do not collect or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically:

• Wear time data – the dates and durations you log for aligner wear are stored locally on your phone.
• Progress photos – any images you take inside the App are saved only to your device’s photo library or local app storage, depending on your settings.
• Reminders & preferences – your reminder schedules, tray change dates, and goal settings are stored locally.

We do not have access to your photos, wear logs, or any other treatment‑related data unless you explicitly choose to share a report with your orthodontist. That sharing is done through standard device sharing features (email, messaging, etc.) and is completely under your control.

2. Automatically Collected Information

The App may collect anonymous, aggregated diagnostic information to help us improve performance and fix bugs. This may include:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version and crash logs
• Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage counts) – without any personal identifiers

We use industry‑standard analytics tools (such as Apple's App Analytics or Google Firebase if applicable) and all data is processed in accordance with their privacy policies. You can opt out of analytics collection in the App’s settings where available.

3. How We Use Your Information

Since we do not collect personal data, we use the minimal information outlined above only for:

• Improving app functionality and user experience
• Fixing technical issues and crashes
• Understanding which features are most helpful to our users

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your information. We do not share your personal data with third parties because we don’t have any. The only situation where we might disclose data is:

• If required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TrayBuddy, our users, or others.

5. Data Security

All your treatment data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device’s built‑in security (passcode, biometrics, etc.). We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the anonymous diagnostic data we collect, but no method is 100% secure.

6. Children’s Privacy

TrayBuddy is intended for general audiences and is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected, we do not knowingly process any information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
